Health minister, Dr. Osagie, Governor Zulum conducts pre-commissioning inspection of Maiduguri Teaching Hospital

The Nigerian Minister of Health, Dr. Osagie E. Ehanire and the Governor of Borno state, Prof. Babagana Umara Zulum have conducted a pre-commissioning inspection on some completed projects at the Maiduguri University Teaching Hospital yesterday.
Our correspondent gathered that the pre-commissioning inspection carried out by the minister and the Governor of Borno state was in preparation for the formal commissioning of the projects executed in the hospital by president Muhammadu Buhari today, Thursday.
The projects executed, our Corresspondent reports, include, Cancer Center with two bunkers and two Linear Accelerators, Kidney Center Extension 3. 6 Units of 24 Housing built, furnished and donated by the Borno State Government.
The inspection was led by the Chief Medical Director (CMD) of the hospital, prof. Ahmed Ahidjo during which the minister, Dr. Osagie E. Ehanire pointed out that he was very impressed about the quality of the project.
The minister who called on the management of the teaching hospital to make use of the facilities judiciously, equally urged members of the public to patronise the hospital.
According to him, the feat will help in addressing challenges that have to do with foreign medical tour by many Nigerians who usually troops outside the country for a medical checkup.
“Let our people patronize the hospital, it has been fully equipped with modern tools and facilities”, he said.
The minister who commended the CMD and his team for effective and efficient management of the hospital, urged him to keep up the good job.
While speaking, the CMD of the hospital, Ahmed Ahidjo, appreciated the health minister and the Governor for carrying out the pre-commissioning inspection visit.
