Intending pilgrim Babangida Jarmari appreciates Gov Bala over Hajj fare subsidy

An intending pilgrim for this year’s Hajj exercise to Mecca, Saudi Arabia, Babangida Garba Jarmari has expressed gratitude to Governor Bala Mohammed of Bauchi for approving 50 percent subsidy on Hajj fare.

Jarmari who spoke to our Correspondent in a short interview on Sunday, said that the nearly one million Naira subsidy on each of the intending pilgrim has assisted greatly in assuaging the financial difficulty they would have encountered following the recent increase in the fare announced by the National Hajj Commission.

“I want to express my sincere appreciation to our Governor, His Excellency, Senator Bala Mohammed Abdulkadir Kauran Bauchi for approving 50 percent subsidy on Hajj fare for us, myself and other intending pilgrims”, he said.

According to Jarmari, they were discouraged upon hearing the news of the increase in the Hajj fare, but were impressed and encouraged with the gesture of the Governor who intervened swiftly by subsidizing the fare by 50 percent.

“The gesture helped us a lot, it gave us relief which made us feel as if he has paid all the Hajj fare for us. We are very much happy with the intervention, that’s why I am thanking him”, he said.

Jarmari who prayed Allah to bless the Governor more wisdom, good health and the resources to continue to deliver more dividends of democracy, also commended the chairman of the PDP and the Governor’s cabinet for their support to the Governor.

According to him, as intending pilgrims, they will use the opportunity to pray more for the the governor to succeed in his people oriented programs and initiatives upon reaching the holy land for the Hajj exercise.

“When we get there, we will pray for the Governor, we will pray for continued peace in the state. I also want to call on my fellow intending pilgrims to upon reaching to Saudi Arabia, schedule a special time and pray for the Governor in Arafat”, he said.

Jarmari said after successful Hajj exercise, they will find another time to offer special prayers for the Governor and for peace of the state if they come back to Nigeria.

“We will pray for the Governor to become the President of Nigeria, we will pray for the peace of the country. In Bauchi we are fulfilled that we elected a Governor who cares for the plights of his people”, he said.

Jarmari also commended the Governor for distributing palliative across the nooks and crannies of Bauchi state which he said has ameliorated the sufferings of common man in the state.
