Just-In: Bauchi Gov Nominates New Commissioners

Bauchi State Governor, Bala Mohammed has sent names of new Commissioners to the State House of Assembly for confirmation after sacking his cabinet for over three months.  

A press statement by the spokesperson to the House Speaker, Abdul Ahmad Burra said, “The Executive Governor of Bauchi State, His Excellency Senator Bala Abdulkadir Mohammad has requested the Bauchi State House of Assembly to screen and confirm the following Commissioner nominees”.

They include: Alkaleri LGA: Abdulkadir Ibrahim; Bauchi LGA has two nominees: Garba Dahiru and Nuruddeen Abdulhamid; Dambam: Ahmed Aliyu Jalam; Darazo: Dayyabu Chiroma and Dass: Maryam Garba Bagel. 

Others on the lists for confirmation by the legislature are Alhaji Umar Babayo Kesa and Hajiya Asma’u Ahmed from Gamawa and Giade respectively, while Jama’are, Itas/Gadau and Katagum have Usman Abdulkadir Modibbo, Hajiya Hajara Jibrin and Sama’ila Dahuwa Kaila.

Also nominated on the list of commissioners included Alhaji Aminu Hammayo from Misau, Alhaji Hamisu Mu’azu from Shira, Pharmacist Sama’ila Burga and Alhaji Abubakar Abdulhamid Bununu both from Tafawa Balewa, while Dr. Aliyu Usman Tilde and Hon. Abdulrazak Nuhu Zaki from Toro and Warji respectively.
