JUST IN: JAC Call off Warning Strike, Charges Bauchi State Gov’t. to Honour Agreement.

The Joint Action Committee of Bauchi State Tertiary Institutions JAC has call off the ten working days warning strike.
To this end, members of the union are directed to resume work from Monday next week to allow continuation of academic activities
Addressing journalists after a stakeholders meeting in Abubakar Tatari Ali Polytechnic Bauchi, the Chairman of the Union Comrade Abdulkadir Muhammad said the move was allow the State Government fulfill it’s commitments.
The Joint Action Committee, JAC has embarked on the industrial action on 19th July 2022, demanding implementation of consequential salary adjustment for Senior Staff, Pending Promotions, Yearly salary increment as well as the immediate payment of unpaid salary for some members among others.
Comrade Abdulkadir Muhammad who called on the state government to be committed in fulfilling it pledges, warns that the strike would resume if the agreement is not honoured.
