Katagum Rep member Gwalabe empowers 150 women With Grinding machines

In an effort to assuage their economic hardship, the House of Representatives member representing Katagum federal constituency, Honourable Auwalu Audu Gwalabe has donated empowerment items to 150 women in his constituency.
Popularly known as Boss, the federal Lawmaker who distributed 150 Grinding machines to the Women, urged them to use it judiciously.
Speaking on behalf of Hon Gwalabe, his Co-ordinator, Mal Musa Shehu Madaki said that the Lawmaker has within Seven months, organised skills acquisition programmes for the constituents.
According to him, his principal has facilitated empowerment opportunities for youths in his constituency in order to make them become self reliant.
“Today, this empowerment is for women because they also contributed a lot during elections”, he said.
The Coordinator expressed the resolve of his boss to fulfill all the campaign promises he made during the electioneering Campaigns.
“He promised to help empower them with skills, empowerment packages, including job opportunities if he wins the election”, the Coordinator added.
Also speaking, the Chairman of occasion, Alhaji Danladi assured the good people of the Katagum constituency that Hon Auwalu Audu has a lot of programmes that will touch their lives positively.
“Let me use this opportunity to call on you, the beneficiaries to use the Grinding machine for commercial purposes in order to take care of your day-to-day economic issues as women”, he advised.
On his part, the representatives of the member, Hon Auwalu, Alhaji Chiroma Shabiri called on the beneficiaries not to sell the items but use it to earn daily incomes.
“We would like to see you working with it as the member said, we will go across the consistency to monitor and ensure that you are working with it, that’s the reason why he provided it to you”, he added.
While commenting, a Councilor in Katagum local Government area, Hajiya Marya S. Fawa (yar sarki Goya marayu) expressed gratitude to the Lawmaker for the gesture.
“We appreciate your good work as you consider women for this empowerment, we really appreciate you. We urge other elected office holders to copy from Gwalabe and do more for the good people of their respective constituencies”, she said.
In a vote of thanks, Hajiya Aminan Garbu (State Deputy women Leader PDP) appreciated Hon Gwalabe who she said is always ready to help his people.
“On behalf of all beneficiaries, we appreciate your efforts and we assured you we are going to use it judiciously for the benefit of our husbands, sons, daughters and all members of our community”, she said.
While congratulating Governor Bala Mohammed over his victory at the supreme court, the PDP women leader commended his plans towards empowerment of youth and women in the state.
