Ministerial position: Bauchi APC Chieftain commends President’s choice of Amb. Tuggar, Prof. Pate

Chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Bauchi state, Comrade Sabo Mohammed has commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for including Ambassador Yusuf Maitama Tuggar and Professor Ali Pate in his first batch of 28 ministerial nominees.
Comrade Sabo who is also the former Director Media and Publicity of the defunct All Nigerian Peoples Party (ANPP) and immediate past Chairman Media and Publicity Committee of the APC in Bauchi, said the state is lucky to have two slots in President Tinubu’s soon to be formed cabinet.
“We are lucky to have two slots, one of which is Ambassador Yusuf Maitama Tuggar who is a foundation member of the party, he has contributed tremendously to formation, nurturing and progress of the party”, he said.
Comrade Sabo Mohammed who described Ambassador Tuggar’s nomination as a great choice and a well deserved one, pointed out that the President’s decision is welcomed by verse majority of the people of Bauchi state, particularly the APC family.
According to him, Ambassador Tuggar has the verse knowledge of intrigues and complexity of Bauchi politics, adding that he is a bridge builder, patriotic as well as a dogged fighter.
He stated that the nomination of Tuggar is a commendable choice by party members, just like Professor Ali Pate who is a professional, highly educated, technocrat and the son of the soil.
Comrade Mohammed, noted that much is expected by the people from the two great sons of Bauchi, hence the need for them to put heads together and work with other party Stakeholders towards assisting the President to actualize and realized his vision and mission for Nigeria.
Comrade Mohammed urged the two nominees from Bauchi to use their capacity and connectivity in both national and international network to the development of Bauchi state and Nigeria in general.
“We hope they will not cue-in in what has been happening in Bauchi where you see critical Stakeholders of the party fighting themselves, depriving the verse majority of the citizenry from benefiting from number of programs and activities of the federal government”, he prayed.
Comrade Mohammed who pointed out that the two slots given to Bauchi is a pay back to the state as one of the important voting bank in the country which has been voting for former president Buhari.
He said that the party in Bauchi also worked assiduously to secure about 41.3 percent for Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the last general election despite the state having a PDP Governor and an arrow head in the presidential ambition.
The APC Chieftain appealed to Amb.Tuggar and Prof. Pate to extend hands of friendship to other critical Stakeholders, such as the Guber candidate, Amb. Sadique Baba Abubakar, Mal. Adamu Adamu, among others and work together, resolve their differences in the best interest of Bauchi state and the country.
Comrade Mohammed noted that such synergy would pave way for the good people of Bauchi state to benefit from the generosity of the President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
“Let us work together as members of the same family and assist the president to realize his vision and mission for the country. They should use their harmonious working relationship to benefit the downtrodden in Bauchi state”, he advised.
Speaking generally on the calibre of people so far nominated for the ministerial position, the APC Chieftain, urged them to when confirmed, work towards salvaging Nigerians from the present economic hardship.
“They have to fast-track their process of bringing succour to the citizenry because the citizens are suffering and people have been tensioned and their tension is well acknowledged by the president himself”, the APC stalwart said.
“So, they should now work along with their staff in their various ministries to ensure that palliatives is given down to the downtrodden and then formulate other policies, programmes and actions that would ameliorate the sufferings of Nigerians in the areas of health, education, agriculture and more importantly, job creation for the teaming young unemployed Nigerians as well as the issues of security”, he added.
Comrade Mohammed expressed optimisms that in no distance time, the calibre of Nigerians that will form Tinubu’s cabinet are going to prove their worth, going by their wealth of experience in diverse ways.
“There are technocrats in the list, there are tested Politicians and there are people who are very loyalists of Mr President”, he further said.
Mohammed applauded the President for adhering to section 14, three of the Nigerian constitution in making his appointments that says ‘appointments should take into consideration, the country’s diversity of ethnicity, religion, among others.
“Mr President has been very cautious about it, and he needs to be commended for that. Let him continue along the line of bringing equity, justice and fairness to all Nigerians”, the APC Chieftain advised.
