Samuel Luka, Bauchi

In anticipation to formation of Cabinet by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the All Progressives Congress (APC) led federal government, a group known as North East Ambassadors for Tinubu/ Shettima has requested that Senator Silas Jonathan Zwingina from Adamawa state be appointed as minister.

The Adamawa state chapter of the group tendered the request in
a press statement made available to newsmen by its Chairman, Ahmed Mohammed and the Secretary, Peter Jona in Bauchi on Thursday.

The group opined that the party’s Governorship candidate in the state is presently before the Tribunal to reclaim her election victory, as such, considering her for Ministerial Position would be out of place because her focus now is on her case.

They stressed that bringing people like Senator Zwingina as cabinet members would engender capacity, experience and performance in Governance.

According to the Group, “Sen Zwingina is a true Democrat, scholar, distinguished legislator and dedicated party man per excellence. He is a grassroot politician that has dedicated his service to Adamawa state and Nigeria as a former Senator that did much to his constituency and the State in general.”

The group which further pointed out that Senator Zwingina has hope and confidence in the present administration of Tinubu, maintained that having him in the cabinet would add a lot of value to good governance in the country.
