Misau APC Youth Leader apologizes to party chairman over call for his removal

Indication of an end to internal crisis within the Misau local government chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) emerged on Friday, following a letter of apology written to the local government party Chairman, Alhaji Ahmed Maigari by the party’s youth leader, Musa Yakubu Dankwanbo.
Addressed to the State Chairman of the party and copied to the Local Government Chairman and the Chairman Stakeholders Forum of the APC Misau, the youth leader, fingered some party bigwigs behind his recent move against Alhaji Ahmed Maigari.
In the apology letter, dated 23rd August 2024, the youth leader regretted signing a letter purporting the removal of the Misau local government APC Chairman over what the letter described as unethical conduct and anti-party activities.
“I write with deep sense of remorse to express my regret and at the same time apologize for signing the letter dated 19th August, 2024 calling for dismissal of Alh. Ahmed Maigari, APC Chairman, Misau Local Government for
unethical conduct and anti-party activities, copy of which is hereby attached”, he said in the apology letter obtained by this medium.
“I wish to categorically and unequivocally state here that my
erroneous action at the time was based on neither my conscience nor my
conviction but strictly based on the manner in which I was innocently deceived by some unpatriotic Misau politicians”, he claimed.
According to him, people who deceived him have been desperately but unsuccessfully working to create faction in the Misau Local Government chapter of the APC.
The youth leader declared that the four point allegations contained in paragraphs 1-4 of the letter labeled against the chairman of the party as not only baseless and fallacious but also unfounded.
“In the light of the foregoing, I wish to once more, tender my apology for my wrong action and undertake to be loyal and of good behavior. I will never engage in any activity that will lead to undermining our great party the
APC be it at the Ward, Local Government, State or National levels”, he vowed.
