NIPR holds AGM, launches book on community relation strategy in Bauchi

The Nigerian Institute of public relations (NIPR) Bauchi state chapter, has organised its 2022 Annual General Meeting with a launch of book, titled: ‘Community Relation strategy’.
The meeting theme ‘primer for Public relation of cooperate players in developing Nations was held on 8th September, 2022 at M. L Audu Auditorium, federal polytechnic Bauchi.
Speaking at the occasion, the special quest of honour and governor of Bauchi State, Bala Mohammed described the NIPR’s effort as a step in the right direction.
The Governor who was represented by his Special Adviser on media and communication, Alhaji Mukhar Gidado assured the NIPR that the state Government is committed towards implementing developmental projects for the benefit of Bauchi people.
He said that the state government has approved the utility accommodation for the NIPR chapter in the state.
Alhaji Gidado also called the NIPR to continue to enlighten members of the public, particularly on the forthcoming general elections.
Declaring the event opened, the Chairman of the occasion, Babaji Umar Misau who was represented by the Polytechnic Rector Architect Sunusi waziri Gumau described the book as timely.
He called on the public to make use of the book in order to help in developing the nation.
Speaking earlier, the Editor of the book, Dr. Adamu Hamid Muhammad of Mass communication Department of the polytechnic explained that the book has undergone rigorous review.
He informed that all chapters of book were thoroughly reviewed twice by different scholars to ensure its cohesiveness and standardization.
On his part, the book reviewer who doubled as the vice Chancellor of Sa’adu zungur University Bauchi, Prof. Auwalu Uba extensively highlighted the significance of the Book.
According to him, the book has highlighted so many happenings in the country with indepth insight on community engagement and involvement of cooperate players in developing Nations.
Prof. Uba further pointed out that the book has also identified who are opinion leaders as well as its attempt to fill the vacuum that has remained unattended practical experience in cooperate Organizations.
Lunching the Book, the chief luncher Alh. Hassan Haleem, demonstrate the Public relation as image making that is required in every organization for information management.
Speaking at the event, the father of the Day and Emir of Bauchi Alh. Dr. Rilwanu Sulaiman Adamu represented by Sarkin Yakin Bauchi Aliyu Yakubu Lame, commended the NIPR for the initiative.
In their separate remarks, the president of NIPR, Malam Mukhtar Zubairu Sirajo represented by Alh. Kabiru Ali Garba and the Chairman of the state chapter, Alh.Kabir Ali Kobi noted that the national body of the NIPR has organised a summit on National security and has procured vehicles for the Chapter.
They promised to distribute copies of the book to Councils of NIPR across the country, adding that the book is of international standard.
