PARE Celebrates World Peace Day, Tasks Farmers, Herders On Peaceful Resolution Of Conflicts

The management of a Non-Governmental organization, Pastoral Resolve (PARE) has joined billions of people around the globe to celebrate this year’s World Peace Day.
Project Manager of the NGO, Mal. Shuaibu Aliyu who made this known in a press release on Wednesday in Bauchi appealed to farmers and headers to bury their hatchets and embrace peace for growth and development to thrive.
Mal. Shuaibu Aliyu Kobi noted that the World Peace Day serves as a reminder to all mankind of what people can create together, most especially ‘peace’.
According to him, the World Peace Day was established by a unanimous United Nations Resolutions in the year 1981.
The Project Manager tasked farmers and headers who are the backbone of food security in the country to always resolve their grievances amicably and give peace a chance by living in harmony especially at this trying times that the world is engulfed by climate change and disasters.
“I want to charge the both parties to embrace peace and live peacefully with one another to enable the country overcome the challenges of flooding and other environmental hazards”, Mr. Kobi said.
He added that the international Peace Day is an avenue that reminds the people about the importance of peace.
Mr. Kobi therefore enjoined the people to live in peace with one another regardless of their race, ethnic or religious inclinations for positive transformation to take place in all spheres of human endeavors.
“The International Day of Peace is observed globally on September 21 of every year, with each year coming with different theme”, he said.
“This year’s theme is “End racism, Build Peace”, Mr. Shuaibu Aliyu Kobi stated.
He said that the United Nations General Assembly marks the day by promoting ideas of peace among nations and people by observing non-violence and ceasefire for 24 hours.
