President Buhari approves establishment of federal Teaching hospital in Taraba

President Muhammadu Buhari has approved the establishment of a Teaching hospital at the federal university Wukari, Taraba state.

This was contained in a letter addressed to the Vice-Chancellor of the University, dated 26th September, 2022.

The letter was signed by Dr. Noah Andrew, Director and Head, Teaching Hospitals Division on behalf of the minister of health with the title, RE: Request for establishment of a federal teaching hospital for the federal university of Wukari, Taraba state.

“I am directed to refer to a letter dated 2nd September 2022 referenced SGF.6/T/380
from the Secretary to the Government of the Federation on the above subject matter and to
inform you that His Excellency, President Muhammadu Buhari, GCFR has graciously
approved the establishment of a Federal Teaching Hospital for the Federal University
Wukari, Taraba State (copy attached)”, the letter read in parts.

It requested the vice Chancellor to ensure that the University provides a conducive environment for the clinical training of premedical students in Medical and Allied Science by building lecture theatres.

It also asked the management of the university to make available, laboratories and hostels at the newly established Federal Teaching Hospital, Wukari.
