Saturday polls: INEC distributes sensitive materials in Bauchi

Ahead of Saturday (tomorrow’s) Presidential and National assembly elections, the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, has distributed sensitive material to all the 20 Local Government Areas of Bauchi State.
Speaking during the distribution exercise, the Resident Electoral Commissioner in the State, Muhammad Nura, said the Commission is fully prepared for the Saturday polls.
Nura who said adequate security security arrangement has been put in place, however pointed out that elections will not hold in six polling units in Bauchi State due some reasons.
According to him, INEC evacuated the materials from the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) and distributed it in order to reach the polling units in time to pave a way for free, credible and fair elections.
The Bauchi REC urged the people of the state to come out en masse and cast their votes in the Saturday elections, assuring that their votes would be counted.
Nura while expressing delight that is the most peaceful State in the Northeast geopolitical zone, urged the electorates to conduct themselves peacefully during the exercise.
