Security operatives neutralizes six kidnap suspects, recover over N4 million

The Bauchi state Commissioner of Police, Auwal Musa Muhammad has disclosed that security operatives have killed six suspected kidnappers in Ningi local government area of the state.
CP Mohammed who stated this while addressing newsmen at the Ningi area Command of the Nigeria Police Force, Bauchi, expressed gratitude to Governor Bala Muhammad of the state for his unwavering commitment to the security of the State.
Heinformed that the security system in the country is facing a significant challenge, as such, all hands must be on deck to ensure a free and peaceful environment in the society.
“It is important because we all need a violence-free society to triumph in all our various endeavors”, he said.
The police commissioner emphasized that, peace, safety and security are both requirements for the development and attainment of a good quality of life for any human society.
CP Auwal said that the unrelenting and aggressive counter-kidnapping strategies of the Command in the fight against kidnapping and other heinous crimes have continued to yield positive results.
He further said that the operatives of the Command and other sister security agencies recorded yet another harvest of criminals and elements.
“During this organized courageous operation, the Command was able to pull apart Kidnappers/Banditry syndicates due to the intense superior firepower by the Police, in collaboration with quasi-security outfits (Ahmed Ali Kwara)”, h added.
According to the CP, so many kidnappers were neutralized while others scampered in disarray and escaped with bullet wounds into the nearby bush.
CP Auwal recalled that sometime in July 2023, eight (8) people were killed including the traditional ruler of Kada and Gamji village via Ningi LGA and kidnapped other residents to unknown destinations.
He said, to address the security breach, the Bauchi Command under his watch raised a team of detectives in conjunction with quasi-security outfits, (Ahmed Ali Kwara) and successfully engaged the Kidnappers/Bandits in a gun duel, on 26th December 2023, at about 0403hrs.
He noted that during the gun duel, the operatives neutralized six (6) of the kidnappers and recovered two AK47 rifles, fifty-five (55) live ammunitions, four empty magazines, four million five hundred and eighty thousand naira (4.580,000,00) as exhibit.
The CP added that one Golf three 3 blue, Seven (7) new aitel sim cards, three (3) Tecno keypad phones, two (2) itel keypad phones and
One Bontel keypad phone were also recovered.
