THE SEVENTH YEAR ON THE THRONE OF HIS ROYAL HIGHNESS THE EMIR OF MISAU, ALH. AHMED SULEIMAN, mni
Precisely today, the 27th August 2022 marks the 7th anniversary on the throne of His Royal Highness, the Emir of Misau, Alh. Ahmed Suleiman.
In commemoration of this historic day, let me list just few of his achievements on the throne so far:-
{1} He established Misau Emirate Development Foundation (MEDEF) in 2016 with the following sectors:-
i). Entrepreneurship Sector, headed by Alh. Muhammad Nadada Umar (Zannan Misau). Members of this sector include Alh. Babangida Zango, Hon. Wakili Abdu, Alh. Abdulwali Abba etc.
ii). Finance and Investment Sector headed by Alhaji Bappayo Shehu. Members of this section include Alh. Aminu Hammayo Misau, Alh. Magaji Abubakar Dambam, Hon. Bappah Aliyu Misau, Barrister Abdu Babayo Malle etc.
iii). Agriculture and Water Resources Sector headed by Alh. Bala Suleiman. Members include Eng. Mailadi Yusuf, Engineer Moh’d Ibrahim, Alh. Hamza Koshe Akuyam etc.
iiii). Trade and Commerce Sector headed by Alh. Mohd Yahaya Jalam. Members include Hon. Ibrahim Makama Misau, Alhaji Aliko Abdu etc.
iv). Infrastructure and Other Services Sector headed by Professor Mohammed Ajiya Misau. Members include Barrister Ahmed Ibrahim Dandija (Maidalan Misau), Eng. zakari Dogo, Arc Habu Yusuf Abba etc.
v). Health and Social Welfare headed by Dr. Alkali Mohammed Dambam, Dr. Magaji Dachi, Dr. Mai Ahmed, Dr. Zailani, Dr. Yahaya Yarima, Dr. Nasiru Ali Umaru Misau etc.
vi). Education Sector headed by Auwalu Uba (Vice Chancellor Bauchi State University). Members include Prof. A.G Ahmed Hardawa, Prof. Sule Magaji, Prof. Balarabe Zulyadaini, Prof. Aliyu Dauda etc.
vii). Environment Sector headed by Dr. Alkali Mohammed.
viii). Youth and Sport Sector headed by Dr. Sadiya Asabe Mohammed.
The Foundation recorded the following successes so far:-
a) Establishment of MEDEF Non Interest Microfinance Bank which began full operation on August 2022. It is located near Union Bank Misau.
b). Establishment of the ICT Misau along Kari long, near Union Bank Misau.
c). Establishment of Health Insurance Scheme Misau.
{2} The Emir scouted for the Area Command of NDLEA to be sited at Misau. Approval has already been given and thus the Area Command will soon be built to begin operation.
{3} The Emir secured academic admissions for hundreds of Misau emirate youths into various universities and colleges across the nation.
{4} The Emir struggled and brought the University and Tertiary Institutions Matriculation Exam (UTME) Center along Kari Road Misau.
{5} He led the establishment of cattle market in Misau and helped in securing and building the permanent site of Livestock Market along Kano Road Misau.
{6} The Emir makes his door open to see all citizens without discrimination on one and one every day of the week to listen to their plights or offer suggestions!
{7} The Emir helped in bringing Federal Technical College which is temporarily sited at the former Orphanage School along Kano-Kari road Misau. It is taking off next month September 2022.
{8} Establishment of Gwani Mukhtar Foundation in Misau.
{9} Creation of Misau Emirate Qur’anic Recitation Competition (Musabaqa).
{10} General renovation of Misau Emir’s Palace.
The foregoing are just few of the vast achievements of the Emir so far.
