Vice President Shattima commends CMD Ahidjo’s visionary leadership at UMTH

The Chief Medical Director, University of Maiduguri Teaching Hospital (UMTH), Professor Ahmed Ahidjo has been commended by the Vice President, Kashim Shettima over his visionary leadership.

The vice president made the commendation on Thursday when he received the CMD at the presidential villa.

He assured the visiting CMD that the Renewed Hope administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is prioritizing enhanced healthcare delivery across the country.

“Earlier today at the Presidential Villa, I received in audience, the management of the University of Maiduguri Teaching Hospital (UMTH) led by its Chief Medical Director, Prof. Ahmed Ahidjo”, the Vice President said in his Facebook page.

According to him, the team was at the Villa to brief him on the progress of the institution and its future plans as well as express gratitude for the support received from Government and other stakeholders over the years.

He said that the Federal Government will support the training of personnel in its teaching hospitals and other tertiary health institutions in the country to meet emerging challenges of healthcare delivery.
