We have secured accreditation to run residency training on Radiology, Paediatric, others, says FMC Azare

The Management of Federal Medical Center (FMC) Azare has secured accreditation to run residency training in Radiology, paediatric, obstetrics and gynecology, medicine, among others.
The Chairman Board of Management of the Center, Ambassador Ahmed Abdulhamid who made this known while delivering his welcoming speech at the occasion of her 20th anniversary on Thursday at the premises of the hospital added that the center has just commenced academic activities in Adamu Adamu college of nursing sciences.
The Board Chairman who stated that the contribution of hardworking and committment of staff of the center cannot be overemphasized, attributed it to all the achievements recorded in the hospital over the years.
Ambassador Abdulhamid who commended the staff of the hospital, urged them to continue with the good work they are known for in the service of humanity.
He recalled that the hospital was established in the year 2000 alongside other numerous federal medical centers across the country.
According to him, the center was meant to serve as a reference tertiary hospital providing advance medical healthcare, training and research, adding that the Azare center became fully operational in the year 2001.
The Board Chairman noted that the center clocked 20 years in 2020, adding that the advent of coronavirus could not allow them to mark the anniversary that year, hence the need for holding it in arrears this year.
While appreciating all the dignitaries for gracing the occasion, Ambassador Abdulhamid stressed that since establishment, the center has passed through series of transformation in the last 20 years in terms of infrastructure, staff development, medical equipment and service delivery.
He expressed gratitude to the medical Director of the center, Dr. Ibrahim Abdullahi Bichi who he said is completing his two terms of office in two weeks time, explaining that his renewed contributions has made the center to be what it is today.
“I pray to Allah to guide and protect him. On behalf of my humble self and the entire members of the board of management of federal medical center Azare, we are all committed to ensuring that the center’s clients are served right”, he said.
The Board Chairman thanked Governor Bala Mohammed of Bauchi state who was represented by the state health commissioner, Dr. Samaila Dahuwa and other dignitaries for gracing the occasion.
Also speaking, the special guest of the occasion, Ambassador Jibrin Dada Chinade thanked the Minister of health and the colleagues of the CMD for honoring the occasion.
He said that the center could not have been in its current state without the tireless efforts and hard work exhibited by the previous and present CMDs.
