We’re working to ensure proper implementation of new minimum wage – Gov Bala

The Governor of Bauchi state, senator Bala Mohammed has stated that the Nigerian governors are working together towards proper implementation of the new minimum wage for workers.

He stated this in his Facebook page yesterday after attending a meeting in Yola, organized by the
Tripartite Committee on National Minimum
Wage (North-East Zone).

“I promised to continue
to improve the lives of our civil servants and
ensure our administration respects the rules of the civil service”, the governor said.

“We’re working together to make sure we can implement the new minimum wage properly”, he further disclosed.

Governor Mohammed said since assumption of office in 2019 to date, his administration has taken steps to remove fake employees
from the state’s records to make the civil service more honest, transparent, fair, and accountable.

The Governor also appreciated President Bola Tinubu’s support for state governments and his efforts to improve the lives of all Nigerians.
