10th yr anniversary: We’ve recorded tremendous successes, says Proprietor Hassan Bauchi Memorial School Misau

The Proprietor of Hassan Bauchi Memorial Nursery, primary and secondary school Misau, Mal. Abbati Hassan Bauchi has disclosed that the school has recorded tremendous successes since its establishment in the last ten years.

Speaking to our Corresspondent recently, Mal. Abbati who noted that the school is solely owned by him, said it began operations with only Nursery one and primary one.

He said that the school started with only 47 pupils and six teachers but can now boast of having 446 students and 26 teachers as well as three non-academic staff.

“So you can see that this is not a small progress even in the area of creating job opportunities for the people, to mention that you have employed 26 teachers which you are paying them salary every month is not a small contribution to the development of the society”, Mal. Abbati said.

He boasted that some of the products of the school are overall performers in their respective new senior secondary schools in Misau.

“They came here during the 10th year anniversary of the school and they were proud of it. They expressed their appreciation to the management of the school for giving them a very good beginning”, the school Proprietor said.

“Apart from that, you have seen the skills we are impacting in the pupils, you were watching when we gave them yards, they measure them, cut them accordingly and sew them in your presence, they sew trousers and shirts”, he said.

According to Mal. Abbati, the school apart from teaching the pupils in theory, it is also equipped with skills acquisition equipment for the children to learn many hand works.

“We train them on making perfumes, air fresheners, bedsheets, soap making, shoe making among others. If we can equipped them with these skills at their tender age by the time they grow up with it, the society will be much better”, he explained.

He said by doing so, it will reduce youth restiveness, theft, thuggery, among other societal ills, adding that the bags that were distributed to guests free were the hand work of the children of the school.

The proprietor who said the school started graduating pupils in the year 2017, added that from the first year to date, the school has graduated about 327 students.

He boasted that in any school his product found themselves, the schools are always proud of them.

“During the years we have not started junior secondary school session, some schools that our primary school graduates gained admission into, use to say that they feel satisfied with our children because they don’t give them problem when it comes to writing or reading”, Mal. Abbati said.

At the junior level, the proprietor said, so far, the school has graduated 17 out of the total 107 that it has.

The proprietor appealed to the government not to concentrate only on public schools but assist the private ones as well to enable them continue to contribute positively to the development of the society.

“The government need to encourage us by supporting us with equipments for skills acquisition such as sewing machines, computers, among others”, he pleaded.

“There are many ways that governments can help us. The money we are charging the parents is not much, we are only trying to help the people. So, Government can help us by sending people to our school for training and pay us, that will support the school financially”, Mal. Abbati suggested.

The school proprietor who thanked parents for cooperating with the management of the school, further solicited for more support and encouragement to enable the management serve them better.
