Bauchi Police Arrest Two Suspected Armed Robbers

The Bauchi State Police Command has arrested two suspected armed robbers responsible for a series of housebreaking and robbery incidents within the Bauchi metropolis.

The Police Public Relations Officer PPRO of the command, CSP Ahmed Mohammad Wakil made this known in a crime bulletin on Tuesday.

According to him, the suspects, Abdulmalik Ismail and Abubakar Saleh, were arrested by operatives attached to C’ Division Police Headquarters, Bauchi.

CSP Wakil said, the arrest was made possible by the prompt response of the public after one of the suspects attempted to rob a woman in her residence, adding that the suspect was apprehended by neighbors and handed over to the police.

CSP Wakil said exhibits recovered from the suspects include a Jincheng motorcycle, two knives, and a Redmi GSM phone.

The Commissioner of Police, Bauchi State Command, CP Sani-Omolori Aliyu, commended the vigilance of the public and reiterated the Command’s commitment to maintaining law and order in the state.

The Command urges members of the public to remain law-abiding, security-conscious, and to continue to provide the Police with credible information to rid the state of individuals with criminal intentions.
