Bauchi govt declares Friday public holiday in Honor of Late Sheikh Dahiru Usman Bauchi

The Bauchi State Government has declared Friday, November 28, 2025, a work-free day in honor of the late renowned Islamic scholar, Sheikh Dahiru Usman Bauchi.
The declaration allows government workers, students, and the public to participate in the funeral prayers, recognizing the Sheikh’s profound impact on Islamic scholarship, education, and peace promotion.
This was contained in a press release made available to newsmen by the Special Adviser on Media and Publicity to the governor, Comrade Mukhtar Mohammed Gidado Thursday.
The Bauchi state government called on citizens to join in prayers for the repose of Sheikh Bauchi’s soul and offer support to his family and followers.
