Over 1000 APC members decamp to PDP in Dambam LG

The Bauchi state chapter of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) on Monday received boost as over 1000 members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Dambam local government area of the state cross-carpeted to its camp.
The Dambam local PDP received the decampees in Janda ward from communities of Dorawa, Kalshinge, Garin Jarmai and Janda.
The event, our Correspondent reports, took place at the headquarters of the ward in Janda.
In his speech the executive chairman of Dambam local government, Hon Yakubu Garba Tela assured of his administration’s continued delivery of democracy dividends in the areas of education, health, agriculture and skills equations in order to empower the youths and women.
“As from today you are equal with all members of our party PDP, and I assure you that our doors are always opened for receiving enquiries and observations in order to continue supporting the executive Governor, Sen Bala Mohammed Abdulkadir (Kauran Daulan usmaniya) to fulfil his campaign promises”, chairman said.
On his part, the Dambam local government PDP Chairman, Alh Usama Dagauda said that the party is receiving the decampees with full membership.
“Today, we are receiving you as full members of our party and from now on, we are going to treat you equal with all members of our greet party PDP”, he promised.
The party chairman therefore, congratulated the decampees for taking the wise decision by abandoning their former party, the APC.
In a goodwill message, a party stakeholder, Hon Gambo Aliyu called on the decampees to be loyal to the party leadership in order to contribute their quarter for the development of the party.
He assured them that Hon Yakubu Garba Tela is always ready to carry everybody along while discharging his responsibility.
Among those who attended the occasion were council members of local Government, state and local government EXCOs of the PDP, local Government stakeholders, party chairman, Coordinator to the Governor in Dambam local Government, ward EXCOs, among others.
