Bauchi Governor empowers 1,000 people in Bogoro and Tafawa Balewa Local Government Areas.

Bauchi state Governor, Bala Mohammed Abdulkadir, has empowered about 1,000 people in Bogoro and Tafawa Balewa Local Governments of the state.
The Governor gave the disclosure during the flagging off of the exercise under the Kaura Economic Empowerment Program KEEP 2020 held at the premises of the Two LG secretariat.
According to the Baushe daily times reporter, the beneficiaries were chosen from among the most vulnerable, including women and young people.
Bala Mohammed said the KEEP 2020 program was part of his administration’s commitment to reduce hardship faced in the state with a view to providing employment among youth as well as improving self-reliance.
He added that the gesture was meant to contribute to the economy and growth of the state, while assuring his government support to bring succor to the people of the state.
The Governor, who described Bagoro and Tafawa Balewa as his second homes due to their massive support for him, charged them to continue giving their support to his administration in order to achieve their goals.
He therefore urged the beneficiaries in the two local governments to make use of the gesture in order to improve their lives and also to contribute to the economy of the state.
In her remarks, the state commissioner of small and medium enterprises (SMEs) Hajiya Sa’adatu Bello Kirfi said the KEEP 2020 program was designed in three forms to include the distribution of Keke napep, motor vehicles, and lastly, the preparation of the distribution of cash loans of over two hundred million to trade unions and artisans’ associations.
Hajiya Sa’adatu Bello Kirfi, who describes the gesture as a care for the people of the state, urges the beneficiaries to make use of the goods judiciously in order to improve their lives.
In their separate remarks, the chairman of Bogoro Local Government Iliya Habila and his counterpart of Tafawa Balewa, Daniel Mazadu, commended Bauchi State Governor Bala Mohammed Abdulkadir for the kind gesture, while assuring their total loyalty to the current administration to execute more developmental projects in the state.
Some of the beneficiaries interviewed expressed gratitude to the Bauchi state Governor while promising to make use of the goods judiciously.
Items distributed include cash, motorcycles, sewing, and grinding machines, among others.
