After winning APC primaries, Bauchi North Senatorial Candidate lauds party faithfuls, promises more democracy dividends

The All Progressive Congress (APC) Candidate for Bauchi North Senatorial District, Alhaji sirajo Ibrahim Tanko has expressed gratitude to the All Progressive Congress (APC) members and the people of his district over his emergence as the candidate of the party in the 2023 general elections.

The Senatorial candidate who was speaking to our Corresspondent at his resident on Tuesday, said that the main focus of his party now is to work towards defeating the ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), not only in Bauchi North but the state at large.

“You talked about how I felt when I was declared winner of the primary election in my Senatorial District, I was really overwhelmed with joy and happiness, my joy cannot be quantified. I knew it was the will of God, not because I am above everyone, but God did what pleases him. I was indeed, very happy”, the Senatorial candidate said.

Alhaji Sirajo Ibrahim Tanko who described the APC as a just and fair party, said, “our focus now is how to defeat the PDP come 2023. We are a formidable force and the APC is battle ready to win in order to make things better for the people of Bauchi North and the entire state.

He said that the process of conducting the primaries was transparent, during which everything was done openly for all to see.

“What we are doing now after winning the party’s ticket is how to ensure that we win so that we can work for our people to ensure that we improve their living standard”, the Senatorial candidate assured.

He also assured that he will work with his co-contestants to ensure that APC face the General Election as one United Family, stressing that it is only through that, that the Ultimate Goal of the Party could be achieved.

The APC Bauchi North Senatorial District flag bearer said, if elected in 2023, youth and women empowerment would be given a priority.

“Many will testify that in the last four years, we have ensured that the less privileged in the society are assisted, regardless of who he or she is, we’ve been doing that without discrimination along party lines or what have you”, Alhaji Surajo said.

While reeling out some of his achievements, the Senatorial candidate said, he has helped secured N-Power slots for over 100 people in Bauchi North.

“We have also helped others acquire various skills through which they have now become self reliant. If we are to count them, they will exceed 100”, Surajo further disclosed.

“Let me inform you, if you are not aware, that even the day before yesterday, the day we launched our campaign, we secured job slots for about six youths”, the senatorial candidate pointed out.

Alhaji Sirajo who declined to make promises, assured that, if elected as Senator representing Bauchi North Senatorial District, he will make a difference.

He commended the delegates for believing in his ability to be the party’s flag bearer in Bauchi North Senatorial District in preparation to the 2023 General elections.

He assured that he will not let the APC and the entire people of Bauchi North down if he is eventually elected as their Senator in 2023.

The Senatorial candidate who acknowledged that his co-contestants are qualified to be senators or hold any political position, however said, in any contest, one must win or lost out.

“Among those I contested with, two are my parents, one is my elder brother, so, have you ever seen a son abandoning his father or brother abandoning his elder brother? It’s not possible. I am assuring you all the three of them have contributed immensely to growth of our party and assure you that we are one united family”, he said
