Aminu Saleh college dispels rumors of suspending summer semester

The management of the Aminu Saleh College of Education Azare, Bauchi state has debunked rumors making round in the social media that it has put to halt, special semester in the institution.
This was contained in a press statement issued to newsmen by the Provost of the college, signed by the public relations officer, Suleiman Shehu yesterday.
“The attention of the college management has been drawn to the fake news circulating in the social media platform that the college has suspended its summer semester Programme to the spill-over students”, parts of the statement reads.
According to the college, “for the avoidance of doubt, the NCCE new minimum standard gave room for the establishment of a summer semester Programme department in the colleges of education that would be saddled with the responsibility of handling the activities of the summer semester”, the statement noted.
It further maintained that, as such, “the programme shall continue in the college as usual”.
The Provost further appealed to all the students to desist from spreading such unnecessary and misleading rumors.
The Provost further advised the students to always seek information from appropriate quarters with regards to their academic pursuit.
“We are also trying to upgrade to a standard portal for online registration to ease processes for the students and control leakages”, the statement concluded.
