APC Bauchi vows not take side with any aspirant

The leadership of All Progressive Congress (APC) in Bauchi State has vows not to take side with any aspirant pledged to provide level playing field for all aspirants in the state.

.Alhaji Babayo Aliyu, state Chairman of the party started this when aspirant, Air Marshal Saddique Abubakar (RTD) and stakeholders of the party visited the party secretariat in Bauchi.

According to him, the leadership will not give automatic tickets to any aspirant in the party ahead of the 2023 general elections.

He said all aspirants would be given a level playing field to contest in the parry primaries in the state.

“We are going to be honest and fair to all the aspirants that want to contest for any position in the party,”he said.

He said APC would conduct a free, fair and credible primary election to pick its credible candidates.

The Chairman noted that as an opposition party had learnt from its mistakes and repositioned itself to reclaim the state in 2023.

Earlier, Air Marshal Abubakar said they were in the Secretariat to congratulate the new party leadership to show their loyalty to the party.

He urged the leadership of the party to be honest and sincere while carrying out their responsibilities as leaders of all members.

Abubakar charged the leadership to shun the idea of imposition of candidates like it happened in the past.

“The failure of APC in the state was a lesson so give all the aspirants equal opportunities to participate.

“Also make sure credible candidate that have the capacity to face the challenges facing education, Agriculture, health , empowerment among others in the state,”

On his part, Alhaji Abubakar Maikafi, National Auditor of the Party also urged the state leadership of the party to provide a level playing field for aspirants and members.

Maikafi also reiterated that it is not going to be business as usual , adding that we are going to work with all our energy and vigor to claim the state back,” he said
