Bauchi APC Group urges Guber election tribunal to give fair judgement

Samuel Luka, Bauchi

A concerned group affiliated to the All Progressive Congress (APC) in Bauchi state has urged the Governorship election petition tribunal to ensure that justice is done to all parties involved.

The Spokesman of the group, Alhajj Abdullahi Dauda gave the advice when he addressed a press conference in Bauchi on Wednesday.

He reminded the judges that all eyes are on them, as people are aware of the facts presented before the tribunal.

“They know the credible witnesses that testified. We want the Tribunal to ensure that all the facts presented before them are adjudicated upon on merit”, Alhaji Abdullahi said.

He further demanded that the Tribunal to respect the choice and wishes of the electorate, protect their reputation and reject any attempt from any quarters that will attempt to influence their judgement.

Abdullahi cautioned members of the Tribunal not to sacrifice the integrity of the judiciary by giving judgements that will be seen as unacceptable.

While drawing the attention of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the national chairman of the APC, Abdullahi umar Ganduje to put emphasis on the matter, advised them not to allow political sycophants steal the mandate in Bauchi.

Abdullahi who observed that the only hope for the people of Bauchi state is for the APC to win at the Governorship election petition Tribunal, noted that if care is not taken, APC members will lose hope in the party for not protecting the interest of its members.

“We the Supporters of the All Progressives Congress under the aegis of Concerned APC members are tired of “Monkey de work baboon dey chop” type of politics being played by our leaders in the APC”, Alhaji Abdullahi said.

He said, it is disheartening, that after spending their time and resources building the party in Bauchi state and ensuring that President Bola Tinubu and Vice President Kashim Shettima win the 2023 election, the APC members in state have been abandoned.

“We are writing this to draw the attention of President Bola Tinubu and the National Chairman of the APC, Dr. Umar Ganduje to the threat being posed to the survival of the APC in Bauchi State if this issue is not urgently addressed”, the concerned party members stated.

According to them, those that fought for the party have not been carried along in all the appointments so far made.

“Our supporters are asking us if we have not made a mistake by taking the risks we took to ensure victory for the APC. We are daily being innundated with calls by party supporters especially in Bauchi State about the non representation of youths and women as was contained in President Bola Tinubu’s campaign promises”, Abdullahi added.

He said, “as loyal party members, we join other Nigerians to congratulate our President, Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Vice President, Kashim Shettima, for their well deserved victory at both the election and at the Presidential Election Petition Court”.

Alhaji Abdullahi who explained that it will be a failure on their part to keep mute even after seeing or hearing that things are going wrong, appealed to President Tinubu to take urgent steps towards addressing the anomalies.

Abdullahi who prayed that the party will take precaution and not take things for granted, called on the President and the national chairman of the APC, other party leaders to look at the situation in Bauchi state where despite been an opposition party but have large followership.

He cautioned that if proper things are not done to prevent a mass exedus of members to other parties, Abdullahi it known by everyone that the APC Governorship candidate, Ambassador Sadique Baba Abubakar won the 2023 Governorship election but was rigged by the ruling People’s Democratic Party.
