Bauchi APC Gubernatorial aspirant Al-ameen pulls out of the race hours to primaries

An aspirant for the seat of governor in Bauchi state under the platform of the All Progressive Congress (APC), Alhaji Al-ameen Sani has few hours to the primaries on Thursday, announced his withdrawal from the race.

Alhaji Al’ameen who was until his withdrawal from the race, one of the frontrunners for the number one political job in the state, said he took the decision regardless of the funds he has spent so far on his campaign.

He further explained that his withdrawal was geared towards promoting unity in the party.

“On behalf of myself and my teaming supporters, I wish to formally announce my decision to withdraw from participating in the Bauchi State gubernatorial primary election of our great party, the All Progressive Congress (APC)”, he said.

“My decision to withdraw from this all important election is in the interest of the party and to foster unity and purpose among the aspirants whom I have had the privilege to chair in the 2022 Governorship Aspirants Forum”, Alhaji Al’ameen further explained.

According to him, his decision to announce his withdrawal from the contest was to encourage more aspirants to follow suit in order to have a hitch-free primary election.

The Guber aspirant said as a bona-fide member of the APC, he felt duty bound to sacrifice by withdrawing from the contest before the primaries in order to make the party in Bauchi a united one.
