Bauchi APC Youth Kick Against Politics Of Personality Attack

A group under the umbrella of All Progressive Congress (APC) Progressive Youth Forum in Bauchi state has condemned in strong terms the politics of personality attacks in the state.
Mr. Umar Lauya, Chairman of the forum made the condemnation while briefing Newsmen in Bauchi yesterday.
Lauya said the APC is a progressive party that doesn’t support attacks on personalities that nurture and sustain the party in the state.
“We advised politicians to desist from instigating their supporters to attack personalities of opponents, or those they thought are bottlenecks or are not on the same page with them for the development of the state.
“We unequivocally stated that, those unpatriotic politicians and opposition as well as their supporters should desist from campaigns of blackmail personalities,” he said.
He noted that politicians should be united for the same goals and ensure objectivity in what they say and do, adding that to instruct their followers on concrete criticism for the benefit of all 
The Forum also called on all political parties’ at all levels to ensure mandates were given to people of proven integrity, as well as those who have good track records.


The Chairman of the forum also condemned the alleged attack on the personality of former Speaker of the House of Representatives Yakubu Dogara.
“We reiterated with a clear and loud voice our total support, loyalty and commitment to the wishes and political aspirations of Dogara in all his future struggles.
“Advising him to remain calm and resolute to avoid being distracted from the good work he is doing for his constituency,” he said.
