Reps member, Soro launches N7m take-off grant to facilities, schools in own constituency

The member representing Darazo/Ganjuwa federal constituency, Bauchi state Honourable Mansur Manu Soro has presented N7 million take-off grant (Cheques) to selected facilities/schools in his constituency.

The lawmaker while speaking during the launching ceremony of the intervention at Yuli Campus, Bauchi state university, commended Governor Bala Mohammed for executing developmental projects across the state..

According to him, the interventions which cut across health, education and other sectors was meant to support some segments of the society, particularly the less previleged.

He added that the project was aimed at complimenting the effort of the governor towards his developmental projects in the state.

The Lawmaker named one of the health facilities he constructed after the wife of the Governor, the first Lady, Dr. Aisha Bala Mohammed in honor of her contribution to the development of the state.

Other interventions include the distribution of 441 cell phones to women volunteers who would soon be trained in healthcare delivery in his constituency, six ambulances, newly constructed gifted schools and a special school for IDPs, Orphans and Almajiris.

In his speech, Governor Bala Mohammed of Bauchi who commended the lawmaker for the gesture, said his administration is always happy to partner with agents of development as individuals or as organization.

According to him, since inception to date, his administration has invested huge amount of resources towards bringing development to the citizens of the state in both rural and urban centers.

“Today, we have gathered here to launch these historic constituency projects implimented by our hardworking member of the National assembly, Honourable Mansur Manu Soro, representing Darazo/Ganjuwa constituency”, the governor said.

He said that the take-off grant for the schools, 4 health facilities, construction and equipping of 6 primary health care centers, provision of ambulances for referral purposes will no doubt help in improving the living standard of the people of Darazo and Ganjuwa local governments.

He said that the transport vehicles to three District heads as well as the recruitment of 500 women to serve as house to house community mobilizers for health will immensely help in improving maternal and child health, promote education and also support traditional leaders in the discharge of their duties.

Bala who applauded the reps member for carrying out the projects, challenged other political office holders to replicate similar projects in their various constituencies.
