Federal Polytechnic Bauchi celebrates Macosa week cultural Display

Mass Communication Students Association (MACOSA) federal polytechnic Bauchi chapter has on Friday marked its annual festival held at the department of mass communication of the institution.

The event attracts cultural display where various tribes were given the opportunity to showcase and celebrate their cultural heritage and dance to the admiration of the audience.

This was contained in a press release signed by the head of department, Mal. Bello madaki Beli on Friday.

According to the HOD, the cultural display and other activities were aimed at celebrating the ongoing MACOSA WEEK tagged (MACOSA NIHGT) which would end on Saturday.

“The essence of the gathering was to preach love, unity and oneness despite our cultural and religious diversity in Nigeria”, he said.

The HOD who urged the students to appreciate their cultural differences existing among them, maintained that the uniqueness of every tribe and culture in Nigeria should be appreciated.

Some of the tribal cultures displayed at the occasion include, Hausa/Fulani, Igbo, Yoruba, Sayawa as well as students from Plateau state were among the dancing groups that graced the occasion with a laudable performance.

The MACOSA Week according to the HOD is expected to last up to Saturday 23rd July, 2022 at the 510 capacity seater hall of the institution.

He said that on the last lap of the MACOSA day, other programs would take place such as Mr/Miss MACOSA, musical performance, dance performance, Talent show, fastest finger, awards presentation, among others.
