For constructing Itas to Gadau road, Bala/Auwal re-election is a done deal, says LG party chairman, Coordinator

The Local Government Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Itas/Gadau, Hon. Sulaiman Babayo Gadau and the local government campaign coordinator, Alhaji Isa Bashir have declared that with construction of road linking Itas with Gadau by the present administration in Bauchi, the re-election bid of Governor Bala Mohammed is a done deal in the area.

The local government party Chairman who made this known while speaking to Baushe Daily Times yesterday said that a lot of achievements have been recorded during the present administration in the state.

“One of the greatest achievements recorded by this Government is the award of contract for the construction of road from Itas to Gadau which has not been considered for many years”, the LG party chairman who is also known as Sule Boss pointed out..

He recalled that Governor Tatari Ali had in the past attempted to construct the road but as God may have it, the road wasn’t constructed until now.

Sule Boss who said that work has since commenced on the road further stated that a model primary school has also been sited in Mashema town of the local government during Bala administration.

He said Governor Bala Mohammed has also renovated the Local Government Secretariat in his effort to provide a conducive working atmosphere for the civil servants.

“The Palace of our district head has also been renovated several schools have been renovated, new ones have been built, hospitals have been renovated and others newly constructed, we have recorded a lot of development during Governor Bala’s administration”, Sule Boss noted.

The Chairman commended the governor for empowering hundreds of youth and women in the local government through the Kaura Economic Empowerment Programme (KEEP).

“As a result of the empowerment initiative, many beneficiaries have become self reliant. The governor has given a lot of empowerment materials to our people”, he said.

Sule Boss added that drainages have been constructed from Unguwar Masuri to Bakin Police station, pointing out that a Mosque has been built in Mashema in addition to construction of a new palace in Gijina.

“Many other projects that have direct bearing on the people have been executed and we really appreciate him.

The Local Government party chairman assured that come 2023, the Governor and his running mate, Hon. Mohammed Auwal Jatau are going record an overwhelming victory against the opposition.

He described the selection of Hon. Auwal Jatau by the Governor as running mate as a welcome development to the people of Itas/Gadau.

“We are with him, to us, we know that Auwal Jatau is someone that everybody knows his pedigree. He is a competent person with integrity and is a person that both Zaki and Katagum are totally with him”, he said.

Sule Boss assured that the people of Itas/Gadau are solidly in support of Kaura/Auwal ticket and will do everything possible to return them elected in 2023.

The party Chairman appealed to the governor to assist the victims of flood in the local who lost properties including food items in order to ameliorate their sufferings.

“I am also requesting His Excellency to help us build modern central Mosque in Gadau town.

Speaking, the campaign coordinator for the governor in the local government, Alhaji Isa Bashir said that the people of the area are indebted to the governor because of the laudable projects he has executed in the area.

“The Governor has embarked on the Itas to Gadau road which we had not expected. Now the road project as I am talking to you has reached 75 percent completion and is still going on. Work on Tagulmu breach has gone far”, he said.

Alhaji Bashir said that the hospital in Itas Gadau has been restructured such that it has turned to a new structure.

“There is only three model primary schools in the entire Bauchi state and one was given to us in Itas Gadau, this to us is a dividends of democracy that we had never experienced”, Alhaji Bashir said.

“Drainages have been constructed, Mosque has been built and all we have for the governor is to say thank you”, the coordinator further noted.

“We stood with him during the inconclusive election, we were the local government that gave him the highest vote and now that he is doing the needful for us and our children, that means we are going to give him our massive vote”, Alhaji Bashir promised.

Bashir who commended Governor Bala Mohammed for chosing Auwal Jatau as running mate, pointed out that he been with Auwal Jatau since 2015 when he was Guber candidate of the PDP and is aware of his capacity.

“His peaceful disposition, charisma, integrity, respect for people and competency has endeared him to the entire people of Katagum zone”, he said.

The coordinator who said, with Auwal Jatau as Bala Mohammed’s running mate, the duo would get the largest votes ever from Katagum zone, called on the people of Itas Gadau regardless of party difference to support the re-election bid of the governor to enable him consolidate on the already made progress in the state.
