Gombe Governor Approves Appointment Of District, Village Heads

 

Gombe State Governor, Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya CON has approved the appointments of District Heads and Village Heads for 5 emirate and traditional councils. 

This is in exercise of the powers vested in the Governor under the creation of Emirates, Districts, Villages and Wards as well as appointment and deposition of Emirs and Chiefs Law. 

The Secretary to the State Government,  Professor Ibrahim Abubakar Njodi who conveyed the Governor’s approval, announced the following as district heads under Gona Emirate: Nasiru Saidu Ahmed  (Garko), Usman Idrisa Aliyu (Lafiya Mango), Mohammed Abubakar (Kalshingi), Bello Hassan (Lawanti), Dahiru Abdulkadir Abdussalam (Amada) and Abubakar Muhammad (Shongo).

Those appointed as village heads under Gona Emirate are: Lawan Sintali Tukulma (Garin Modibbo), Bashar Maikudi Manu (Tumfure North), Magaji Adamu (Njomari), Ibrahim Gurama Mohammed (Yankari), Dauda Tafida Bomala (Bomala), Abba Haruna (Tumfure South) and Abdullahi Lamido Umar (Lawanti). Others are: Abubakar Daudu Muhammad ( Dagarawo), Abubakar Muhammad Idrisa (Shongo-Idrisa), Hamisu Abubakar (Kalshingi), Adamu Mohammed (Wuro Tanna) and Aliyu Saidu (Gona). 

For Pindiga Emirate, the Governor approved the appointment of Barr. Mohammed Magaji Ibrahim as district head of Tai and Abubakar Sarki Ahmed as district head of Kashere South with the following as village heads: Nelson Ishaku Mamuda (Dongol- Alewa), Muhammad Baba Kembu (Jabba), Abubakar Musa Mai-jari (Lambo- Daji), Ismaila Mohammed (Tamfifi), Warrajo Alhaji Liman (Warra), Umaru Muhammadu (Badara), Muhammadu Jungudo (Hammaseyo), Samaila Uba ( Maiganga) and Sanusi Matawalle (Garin Alkali). 

For Dukku Emirate, Mohammed Haruna is appointed district head of Lafiya, while Umaru Mohammed Lamido is the new district head of Bodor in Funakaye Emirate. Similarly, Sulaiman Hamza is appointed district head of Awak in Kaltungo Chiefdom.

According to the statement by the SSG,  all the appointments are with immediate effect.
