Ningi LG Chairman drums support for Abdul Ningi’s senatorial ambition

Honourable Mahmood Hassan Tabla, the executive Chairman of Ningi Local Government area of Bauchi state has thrown his weight and support to the senatorial aspiration of former house of representatives leader, Senator Abdul Ahmad Ningi for Bauchi Central Senatorial District come 2023.
Speaking in an interview with our Corresspondent in his office in Ningi, the local government Chairman described Senator Ningi as an exceptional leader whose style of representation is second to non in Nigeria.
“I think the the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and the people of Bauchi central shares the same view with me regarding the competency of Senator Abdul Ahmad Ningi. I believe anybody who is up to 18 or 15 years in Bauchi Central is aware of the laudable achievements of Senator Abdul Ningi when he represented Ningi and Warji in the Nigerian House of Representatives for which he did three to four terms and later became senator representing Bauchi Central”, he said.
The local government Chairman said since Ningi left the Senate the vacuum created has not been field.
According to him, Senator Abdul Ningi is one of the Senators that Nigeria and Nigerians are proud of not only in Bauchi central nor in Bauchi or North and the Northeast.
He described the calls on Senator Ningi to contest for Bauchi Central Senatorial District seat in 2023 as a will of God for the people of the area to once again test quality and purposeful representation.
“I wish to commend the effort of the people of Bauchi central for calling on him to come and contest for the seat again and I equally commend and thank him for accepting their call to declare for the position”, Hon Tabla further said.
He expressed optimisms that, all the people of Bauchi central who has interest for the development of the area will wholeheartedly support Ningi’s ambition.
Hon Tabla further commended other aspirants for the position for willingly stepping down for Senator Abdul Ningi, urging the people of the area to give massive support to enable Ningi emerged victorious in 2023.
“I want to urge PDP supporters to rally round credible and competent people like Senator Ningi whose sole interest is to represent his people well and to also ensure the development of Bauchi state in general”, the LG Chairman explained.
“Even I myself, I had wanted to contest for House of assembly seat for Ningi but since the Speaker has recently decamped to our party, the PDP, I have since stepped down for him because he is my boss”, Hon Tabla further noted.
“I contested against him in 2019 and he defeated me. I had intended to also contest in 2023 but with the recent development in which the speaker defected to our party and considering his love for Ningi and Bauchi as a whole, all the three of us in the PDP that have already purchased forms have stepped down for him”, he added.
Tabla who said he is prepared and ready to lead the campaign for the reelection of the speaker in 2023 to enable him win, pointed out that the success of the PDP is a success to him.
The local government Chairman who commended Governor Bala Mohammed for equal distribution of resources across the state, pointed out that the empowerment initiative of the Governor through Kaura Economic Empowerment Programme (KEEP) is yielding the desired result of pulling out thousands of youths and women from poverty line.
According to him, the programme has not only ameliorated the hardship hitherto faced by the teaming unemployment youths but has made many of them employers of labor.
