Northern Group commends President Tinubu for re-appointing Alkali as NEDC boss

Nigerian President, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu has been commended for finding Dr. Goni Ibrahim Alkali worthy of been re-appointed for continuity as Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer (MD/CEO) of the North East Development Commission (NEDC)
The Chairman of the group known as North East Elders and Youth Peoples Forum (NEEYPF), Alhaji Salihu Magaji made the commendation while addressing a press conference in Bauchi on Wednesday.
Magaji said with the re-appointment of Goni, the President has proven himself as a master strategist and a true Nigerian patriot whose interest is to build a Nigeria that works for all.
“The caliber of people just appointed by Mr. President especially quintessential leader who had proven himself like Goni Alkali is a good development. The president has proven what most of us already know about his ability to spot talent and reward hard work”, the group said..
“We members of our forum in the entire North East are happy that The President found our leader , mentor and brother, man of the people, workaholic, patriot Goni Alkali worthy of appointment as the Managing Director of NEDC”, they further said.
The group maintained that Goni Alkali has over the years proven himself to be a realiable leader who cares about the welfare and wellbeing of the North east and Nigerians across the region and beyond.
They expressed confidence with assurance that the president and his Vice, Alhaji Kashim Shettima would made the people of the North East and other Nigerians benefit immensely from Goni’s wealth of experience, competence and commitment to national development.
“We are also confident that with the calibre of technocracts like Goni Alkali, who work tirelessly to improve the well being of the citizenry, Mr President will leave a legacy projects in the North East and Nigeria”, the group said.
While congratulating Alkali for been re-appointed, the group described him as an achiever who will continue to give examplary leadership that will genuinely rebuild the North East region and beyond.
Magaji further assured that Alkali will justify the confidence reposed in him through completion and execution of more viable projects that will redevelop the region.
He assured Alkali of the continued support of all stake holders in the region for him to succeed, urging Nigerians to support the Federal government initiatives to transform the country.
