Reps member, Kashuri reiterates commitment to purposeful representation

The House of Representatives member for Jama’are/Itas Gadau federal constituency, Honourable Bala Rabilu Kashuri has yesterday, reiterated his commitment to purposeful representation of his people at the National Assembly.

Hon. Kashuri made the statement in an interview with our Corresspondent while commenting on his recent victory at the appeal court sitting in Abuja.

While narrating how his victory was nullified by the election petition tribunal in Bauchi before it was upturned by the Appeal court, Hon Kashuri said he was optimistic that the decision will not stand the test of time at the Appeal court.

The Lawmaker who expressed gratitude to Allah and his legal team for his victory at the Appeal court, thanked his supporters and well-wishers for praying for his success at both the polls and the Appeal court.

He said that the claim by his opponent that he presented forged school certificate to the Independent Electoral Commission (INEC) was not true which prompted the Appeal court to dismiss it.

“I didn’t have the blessings of the state government been in the opposition, but thanks to Allah that when I appealed the tribunal’s verdict, my mandate was restored”, he said.

According to Hon. Kashuri, his victory at the Appeal is so much worthy of giving thanks to God who is the giver of power to whoever He wishes or taketh it away from anybody He so wished”.

The federal Lawmaker while praying for God’s guidance, promised to carry all the people of Jama’are and Itas-Gadau local government areas along irrespective of their party affiliation.

“May God grant me the wisdom to represent my people well, may Him make it possible for me to be surrounded by good advisers who can give me meaningful advises that will move the constituency forward”, Hon. Rabilu Kashuri prayed.

Hon Kashuri said with the legal tussle over now, he is prepared to offer quality, purposeful and citizens oriented representation that will usher in a new dawn in his constituency.

“Now that the temporary setback has been put to rest by the court, I assure my people of better days. I started on a good footing before I was distracted by the judgement of the Tribunal, it drew us back a bit, it derailed my effort but thank God they didn’t succeed in their effort. In Sha Allah I will not disappoint my people, they will witness positive impact”, Hon Kashuri further assured.

The Lawmaker who said everything possible will be done to assist the farmers in his constituency, said even during the dry season farming, teaching unemployed youths are going to be assisted with inputs to keep them self reliant.

Hon Kashuri further explained that a lot of plans is in the pipeline to help the youth and women, adding that the plan will soon be unveiled when the time comes.

While advising his opponent to take his defeat in good faith, Hon. Kashuri said by still claiming that his certificate is fake, cautioned that such utterances will be considered as defamatory.

Hon. Kashuri who enjoined the friends of his opponent to advise him to take the defeat in good faith and plan for 2027, said for now, he should realize that it is Allah that gives power to whoever He wishes.
