He said that the event was supposed to hold in two phases, first, for house of assembly aspirants before that of the house of representatives the following day.

Ahmed Maigari however said, it was not wrong that the house of representatives aspirants appeared in the first day of the event.

“But one of them have taken excuse for today and he is appealing for another opportunity to be created for him to appear before you and made his manifestos known, and I have granted his request”, the LG party Chairman informed the delegates.

Maigari who said such event has never been held before, explained that it was organized with the aim of uniting the aspirants with the APC members.

While pointing out that Misau and the entire people of Bauchi are APC, he noted that if the party members will unite themselves and bring out credible persons as candidates, they will not suffer in winning the general elections.

“If we don’t produce credible and competent candidates, honestly speaking we will find it very difficult because our major opponent knows the game very well and they have the power”, Ahmed Maigari said.

He urged the aspirants to be patient with one another and accept the outcome of the Primaries in good faith knowing fully well that only one person will emerge per seat.

Maigari added that, if the APC formed government in the state, those who lost in the Primaries would be compensated.

He appealed to the aspirants to shun personal interest and campaign for the APC in all the nook and cranny of the state in order to defeat the ruling PDP in the state come 2023.

Responding, one of the aspirants, Mohammed Aliko said he was moved to aspire for the seat of Misau/Dambam house of representatives seat because the constituency has for the past three years lacked the needed representation.

He pledged to support any person that win the primaries if the process of the election is free, fair and credible, adding that at his age, he would never cross carpet to another party simply because he loses in the primaries.

He pledged to if elected, create job opportunities for the youths and women in the area, adding that, mechanized farming would also be promoted among the farmers to boost their production capacity.
