Bauchi reiterates commitment to partnering private sector, investors to boost economy

The government of Bauchi state has expressed determination and readiness to partner with the private sector with a view to attracting both local and international investors into critical sectors of its economy.

The Secretary to the state Government (SSG), Hon. Aminu Hammayo made this known when he led the Bauchi State Economic and Investment Team on a courtesy visit to the Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) Lagos on Wednesday.

According to him, during the investment road show in Lagos tomorrow (Thursday) in Lagos, the state government will attract investors to invest in agriculture, solid minerals, tourism, energy, infrastructure, and manufacturing in Bauchi state.

As contained in a press statement made available to newsmen by the Special Adviser to Governor Mohammed on Media and Publicity, Comrade Mukhtar Gidado, the strategic engagement is part of activities preparatory to tomorrow’s Lagos Investment Roadshow, which forms a key leg of the ongoing Bauchi State Economic and Investment Summit Roadshows across the country.

The SSG who led the delegation on behalf of Governor Bala Mohammed, emphasized noted that Bauchi State is endowed with vast natural and human resources.

The SSG further assured that Bauchi state is positioning itself as the new frontier for sustainable investments, backed by investor-friendly policies, enabling infrastructure, and an administration committed to transparency and accountability.

Hon Hammayo said the state is committed to creating an enabling environment for businesses to thrive and invites investors to take advantage of the state’s untapped potentials.

The press release noted that the President of the Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Mr Gabriel Idahosa, while receiving the team, commended the foresight of Governor Bala Mohammed and his Government for initiating the roadshow.

She assured the delegation of the Chamber’s support in fostering partnerships between Bauchi State and Lagos-based investors who are eager to explore opportunities in Northern Nigeria.

The press release added that tomorrow’s Lagos Roadshow is expected to bring together captains of industry, financial institutions, development partners, and key stakeholders in the investment ecosystem to engage with the Bauchi State Government on emerging opportunities.
