Gov Bala applauds ATBU for nurturing vibrant generation of leaders

Bauchi state Governor, Senator Bala Mohammed has commended Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University (ATBU) Bauchi for nurturing generations of leaders who have contributed in various fields of endeavor.
Governor Mohammed stated this while speaking at the 26th, 27th, 28th and 29th combined convocation ceremony of the university at its Gubi Campus Saturday.
Represented by his deputy, Rt. Honourable Mohammed Auwal Jatau, the Governor acknowledged that ATBU Bauchi has consistently been a beacon of knowledge and innovation.
According to him, the university has always stand tall among its contemporaries in Nigeria.
Bala Mohammed who described himself as an advocate of innovation, progress and development, pledged continued support to the university.
He said the commitment of Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University to excellence and pursuit of knowledge is evident in its outstanding academic programs, dedicated faculty members, and state-of-the-art facilities.
The Governor stressed that Bauchi State government fully subscribes to the truism that strong educational foundation is the bedrock of progress and development, without which no society can thrive.
“It is this belief that informed our unwavering commitment to enhancing educational infrastructure, providing scholarships and grants, and improving access to quality education for all”, Bala said.
He said his administration’s support and partnership with ATBU and other Federal Government higher institutions of learning in Bauchi is a testament of good governance.
“Our commitment to the educational sector has been unwavering as reflected in the various policies and programmes we have implemented in the sector”, the Governor noted.
He said in his administration’s pursuit of accessible primary education, over 5000 classrooms have been constructed, thereby creating an environment conducive to learning to the young citizens.
