Housing and environment Commissioner, Shira congratulates winners of PDP primaries, urges party faithfuls to support them

Following the emergence of PDP state and national assembly candidates in the just concluded primary elections, the Commissioner Ministry of Housing and Environment, Hamisu Muazu Shira has urged party faithfuls to support them towards winning the general elections in 2023.
Hamisu Shira who congratulated the winners of the primary election from his Local Government, calls for unity among the members of the party.
Shira been the senior PDP stakeholder in the local government stated this during an interview with Baushe Daily Times shortly after the declaration of winners of the primary election.
“I want to use this podium to extend my congratulatory message to all winners of the just concluded primary elections and call on the losers to accept defeat in good faith”, Shira said.
The Commissioner however, commended the party for transparent conduct of the primary elections which according to him is the genesis of good democracy that is capable of giving birth to good politicians and leaders.
According to him, the development will serve as the bedrock for others including electoral body to emulate the gesture.
Hamisu Shira enjoined the winners to be magnanimous in victory and be good ambassadors of the party in order to serve in the interest of their constituents if elected in the forthcoming general elections.
He urged them to make the party proud by proving to Nigerians that the PDP remains the best party through their positive impacts.
The Commissioner pleaded with the state Governor, Bala Mohammed to do all it takes to maintain the just leadership style he has demonstrated by giving equal attention to all the Local governments across the state.
He said that the gesture of the Governor will surely help in keeping the party in shape and ahead of other political parties.
“His Excellency, Governor Bala Muhammad is known for his just and fair leadership style. I am therefore pleading with him to maintain such good gesture and keep the our party glued”, he said.
Our Corresspondent reports that the contestants to represent Shira district in the Bauchi State House of Assembly are Adamu Usman (Ba Maraya) who scored 0 votes and Auwal Hassan Yana who won with 18 votes.
Saleh Hodi emerged victorious unopposed to represent Disina constituency in the Bauchi State House of Assembly while Hon. Sani Ibrahim also won unopposed to represent Shira/Giade Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives.
