Kirfi LG commences distribution of Ramadan food items

Days after the grand flag-off of Ramadan palliatives by Governor Bala Mohammed of Bauchi state, Kirfi local government council on Monday performed its own flag off of the foodstuff distribution.

Our Correspondent reports that the Ramadan palliative distribution has commenced all over the state, including Kirfi local Government area.

Speaking during the flag-off, the Caretaker Committee Chairman of Kirfi local government, Hon Abdulkadir Umar Dewu said that the palliative was sent to the local government by the state government to be distributed to each polling unit of the local Government.

According to Dewu, the food items allocated to Kirfi LG include bags of Millets, Maize, Rice and Sugar.

The LG Caretaker Committee Chairman also enjoined the people of Kirfi to continue praying for the Governor for more dividends of democracy to the grassroot.

“That’s why His Excellency gave directives for the distribution of the food items at the polling units without political differences”, he said

Dewu also called on the people to give all the necessary cooperation and support to the local organising committee to distribute the food items successfully.
