The election victory of house of representatives member for Shira/Giade federal constituency in Bauchi, Hon Sani Ibrahim Dan Tanko of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) has been upheld by the appeal court Abuja, yesterday.

Our Corresspondent gathered that before now, the election petition tribunal had confirmed the victory of the federal Lawmaker in Bauchi.

With the current development, the house of representatives member has defeated his opponent of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), Hon Kani Fago.

The present decision of the appeal court has now brought to an end, further struggle by the APC’s Kani Fago to wrestle the position from the PDP’s Hon. Sani Ibrahim Dan Tanko who is representing Shira/Giade federal constituency up to the year 2027.

Speaking to our Corresspondent, Hon. Dan Tanko expressed his deepest appreciation to the people of his constituency for their support and prayers.

While calling for advice and guidance, Hon Dan Tanko assured the good people of Shira/Giade that they would soon start reaping the much needed democracy dividends.

The Lawmaker who urged supporters of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) to be law abiding, promised to be a representative member for all the people of the Shira/Giade irrespective of Party divide.

He also appreciated the effort of his political party (PDP) as well as Governor Bala Mohammed who is the leader of the party in the state for immense contributions to his victory.

“I really appreciate His Excellency for his fatherly support and I also appreciate the chairman of our party in the state, Alhaji Hamza Koshe Akuyam and all party faithfuls who supported me in one way or another”, he said.
