Gov Bala’s inclusion of Misau road project in the 2021 supplementary budget excites lawmaker.

A member representing Chiroma constituency in the Bauchi state House of Assembly, Hon. Abdulkadir Aliyu Bobbo has commended Governor Bala Mohammed for including, in the 2021 budget, Marshal road within his constituency, Misau local government area.

Our correspondent recalled that Bauchi State Government has earmarked the sum of N213, 914, 559,427 as proposed budget for the 2021 fiscal year.

Bobbo who doubles as the minority leader in the Bauchi State House of assembly made the commendation in an exclusive interview with Baushe Daily Times in his office yesterday.

“I must appreciate Governor Bala’s gesture for including in a 2021 budget proposal the Marshal road within my constituency Misau”, Hon Bobbo said.

According to him, ” the road though, not up to 2 kilometers from Misau emir’s palace down to the junction of A D Rufa’i college of education and general studies but its significance to the people can never be over emphasize”.

He noted that the road which was constructed by the former Governor Muazu’s administration has been in a serious state of dilapidation and needed rehabilitation.

The Lawmaker said that he has always been in touch with the people of his constituency because they are his pride.

“I always make sure that I mingle freely with my people so that I will be able to know exactly what their needs are because they elected me into the office”, he said.

Hon Bobbo who described himself as the servant of the people of Misau, noted that it is incumbent on him to give the desired representation by telling the executive all that they need.

The Lawmaker who said, it is on that ground and the love he has for his people that prompted him to initiate a program, BOBBO DEVELOPMENT FOUNDATION from his personal earnings to help less the privileged in his constituency.

He said that the Foundation mostly assist the beneficiaries in the areas of education and health sector as well as other social services.

Hon Bobbo said the Foundation has Professor sabo, Director Remidial studies at the Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University (ATBU) Bauchi as the chairman board of trustee and Barrister Bakoji Zubairu Hamma as the Chairman of the foundation.

He noted that the foundation has come to stay and will move on even after he is out of office because it is geared towards helping the needy.

Our correspondent gathered that 300 children were enrolled in to primary schools under the foundation with all they need, while 500 more are to benefit from the program in no distant time.
