Misau market inferno: Rep Bappah Misau sympathizes with traders, donates N2 million

Following the Thursday fire incident which destroyed properties worth millions of Naira, the member representing Misau/Dambam federal constituency at the National Assembly, Honourable Bappah Aliyu Misau has dolled out the sum of two million Naira to the affected traders.

The federal Lawmaker announced the donation during a sympathy visit to traders at Misau central market in Misau local government area of Bauchi over the fire outbreak in the market on Thursday.

The member who spoke to our Corresspondent in a telephone conversation from London, expressed sympathy to the affected traders over the sad incident which cost them millions of Naira damages.

Hon Bappa, therefore donated N2 million as his personal Contribution to the traders who lost their properties, assuring that he will table the plights of the traders before the house of representatives for deliberation and possible assistance from the relevant federal agencies.

According to him, upon coming back from London where he traveled to on assignment, he will get in touch with Governor Bala Mohammed of Bauchi state on the issue for assistance.

Hon Misau who urged the victims of the market inferno to take it as an act of Almighty Allah, said only Allah will replenish them with what was destroyed during the incident.

Speaking on behalf of the traders, the chairman of Misau traders association, Mal Salihu Malami appreciated the Lawmaker for showing concerns by coming to the aid of the affected traders in less than 24 hours after the incident.

He described the action of Hon Bappah Aliyu, as “been a real Leader whose leadership style worth emulating”.

Malami appreciated the house of representatives for sending delegation to sympathize with the traders on his behalf.
